Dairy and Boer Goats
We have been blessed to be very competitive at the 4-H level.  A few years ago our daughter completed
her 10th year of 4-H and her exhibit animals always placed extremely well.  We've bred and raised
numerous class and show winners--both male and female--for ourselves and for satisfied customers.

We love big, bold Nubians and have a small, but select herd of the same.  Our does have always been
competitive at a local level  and their progeny has shown well at several surrounding 4-H/County fairs as
well as on a National level.   However, with Glenna in college, we decided to breed the girls to a Boer
buck and eliminate the time and hand work involved in maintaining a milking herd.  We have the past few
years placed several of our does into Boer breeding programs, and I will venture to say that it is an
enterprise I am p
leased we expanded on.

F
or the spring 2009 kidding season we leased a top-quality Boer Buck (ROCKING C CODY) from
Tom and Jackie Redden of Norman, IN.
Long, tall and packed with muscle (and a fabulous attitude)
we think CODY is a good "fit" for our genetics program.
We look forward to 2009  kids that will be a welcome addition to ANY Boer breeding program.
We'll know more about availability after our 20 does kid.

Since our goal is to retain low numbers and top quality, there will several quality animals available-
-senior and junior does--as well as club wethers.
Our percentage does
are definitely an asset to a Boer breeding program--ours or otherwise--
and our select percentage wethers are always highly competitive
!
Additionally, there will be animals available for direct marketing after weaning.

Please
contact us for further information or to reserve your 2009 purchase.

Greetings from Back Forty Browsers!

Our small herd of dairy goats includes purebred Nubians, American
Nubians, Recorded Grade animals, and some wonderful Experimentals.
With the exception of 4-H and our local county fair, we don't
personally show our goats.   We do however, strive for breed quality
and milk production, and have always bred and managed them to that
end.
